I love junior's story about his father interrupting a physician trying to eat when tim Jr. was a baby. The way I remember it, his father showed up at the hospital to check on tim as a baby, and was told the physician was at lunch. Undeterred, he barged into the doctors lounge, and demanded he stop eating and discuss his son IMMEDIATELY. Tim Sr. was in a military outfit because he was filming a combat TV show. The doc put down his half eaten sandwich and talked to Tim Sr Love the story, because it demonstrates everything wrong with our country. This guy, Tim Sr., who pretends he is another person for a living, and is overpaid for it, pulls rank over a man who is much more intelligent, hardworking, nobly employed and underpaid than him. The physician suffered years of difficult training and education, that Tim senior may not have even been capable of, let alone do. The doc spends his time applying his brilliance to kids while he is being vomited on, frequently with his hands literally buried in shit. He probably has decreased a lot of pain, and saved some kids lives. But Tim giddily described how cool it was that his semi famous Dad could interrupt this overworked guys lunch, solely because he was dressed in costume and has a job some people think is "cooler". He even had an outfit on that made him look tough. People successful in entertainment are more like lottery winners than true talents or creative hard workers, as for every one that lands tv work there are a thousand as talented that languish in the wings. We are amused by them, just as we are by lottery winners, as the cameras flash when they cash in their ticket too. I wish we would get back to a time when we respected real work, and we would have sit com stars interrupted by doctors, who are busy and have to get back to work. I like the wikipedia page that has Tim Jr. personal life saying "he is the son of actor Tim Conway ". That about sums it up, no med school there.................
